There is a blog for just about everything nowadays.  So why not tap into the blogosphere to get your product/service (your brand) promoted?  Not sure if your product/service fits with a blog?  All it takes is writing a press release about your company and emailing it to the blogger.  Here are a few examples of business types and which blogs to reach out to:

Popular blogger, Jai Marshall of The Fat and Skinny of Fashion shares her tips on how marketers should be reaching out bloggers.  She should know, she frequently reviews fashion brands on her blog and boasts 2K+ Twitter followers.

  1. Marketers should actually read the blogs they want to help promote their product.
  2. Marketers should actually read said blogs policies.
  3. They should also examine how their products fit in with that particular blog.
  4. When they email the blogger they should start off with “Dear Blogger’s Name” ,not Dear Blogger or Editor or use the title of the blog as a means of communication. Ex. Dear The Fat and Skinny or Dear The Fat and Skinny Writer.
  5. Marketers should fairly compensate the blogger if the work is more promotional than editorial.

So can you think of a way your business can reach out to bloggers to promote your brand?
